For the past 2 years, our travel habits have been a bit disrupted. Between confinements, covid-pass, PCR tests, nothing is ever certain when planning a (more distant) trip. But covid did not only have negative effects (fortunately). For some people, this was a good time to reconsider, to speed up a project that had been in mind for a while…
And it was at this very moment that Lena decided to renovate 2 gites in a “slow” atmosphere in order to offer simple moments of escape, without fuss, but where the details, the choice of materials, the decoration, the natural setting make all the difference.
This time we take you to the countryside, in the Pays de Herve, in the Liège region.
Since June 2021, Léna welcomes you all year round in this idyllic setting. The 4 hectare site has a stable, 2 gîtes, a space with regular workshops and, soon, a shop with creations by local Belgian and French artisans that respect the planet.
It was a real choice to bring together different activities in the same place.
The stable already existed since 2017, the workshops, the gîtes and the shop are being added as we go along. The aim is to welcome people from the surrounding area who take part in the activities and workshops on a regular basis, as well as travellers, whether they are from Belgium or elsewhere of course.
For the moment, 2 gîtes with the sweet names of wild flowers, Crocus and Coquelicot, welcome you for one or more nights in a relaxing and resourcing environment. They are warm, fully equipped, tastefully decorated with a certain sense for ecological materials and the most sustainable possible. To ensure softness and comfort and to complete the experience of spending a night worthy of the name, Léna has chosen Kalani’s Snow White cotton sateen bed sheets.
This charming, exotic place is located only a few kilometres from Blégny-Mine, the Val-Dieu Abbey, the Julienne ponds, and other places to discover.
Everything is in place for a pleasant stay as a couple, with family or friends.
To be discovered without hesitation!
