Welcome to this holiday home located in the heart of a nature reserve in the Westhoek (in Flanders, just a few kilometres from the French border).

This place, founded by Hilde and Carl, whose name comes from a Swedish expression meaning “little coffee break”, will give you the impression of spending a moment out of time.

Nature as a starting point

Everything at Fika has been designed to give nature a central place, both in terms of the interior layout and the decorative elements.

The large picture windows, the orientation of the furniture, the warm colours, the simple design… Everything is thought out to let nature in, giving us the impression of contemplating it like a painting we’ll never tire of.

Simplicity and timelessness

Two words that rhyme with sustainability. That’s where Carl and Hilde are uncompromising. Their aim is to integrate nature with the utmost respect, right down to the smallest detail. In fact, they are competing for the Green Key eco-label.

The various rooms in this holiday home are made from natural, eco-friendly materials. The Swedish furniture (HAY) has a timeless design that subtly punctuates the curves and lines of this cosy home.

Fika was the first holiday home we were lucky enough to equip with Kalani bed linen. In this holiday home, we sleep in organic cotton and fairtrade white percale sheets. They fit in perfectly with the house’s distinctive Swedish decor.
