Enjoy a getaway to the Cabane des Avelines in the Belgian countryside to Breathe, dream and recharge your batteries.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway for two or a moment to relax on your own, La Cabane des Avelines offers you a warm welcome in the heart of the meadows, in comfortable surroundings and in complete simplicity.
Behind the project…
The Cabane des Avelines is Julie and Thomas’s project. It is located on the grounds of Thomas’s farm.
Julie and Thomas are a couple with lots of ideas, for whom work and pleasure go hand in hand! Their projects are varied and ambitious, always connected to nature, and above all inspired by their grandparents, whose stories are beautifully told on the Cabane des Avelines website. Farmers all their lives, they have left them a precious legacy of memories, aromas and unique sensations.
Their projects include the farm where Julie and Thomas practise sustainable farming, including sheep rearing, and the Cabane des Avelines. Conceived by Julie, who has always had a passion for designing indoor and outdoor spaces and creating places where people feel good, this cabin is a charming B&B with an atmosphere all its own.
Getaway to the Cabane des Avelines
If you’re looking for a romantic, cosy, comfortable and authentic getaway in the heart of nature, check out the Cabane des Avelines. There’s a good chance that, like us, you’ll fall under the spell of this tiny house, with its fine materials, harmonious decor, peaceful surroundings and dream bedding. Julie has chosen to offer her guests quality bedding for a restful night’s sleep. She has opted for Kalani sheets, which are soft and light in cotton sateen.
The cabin has a kitchen, a shower room with toilet and a bedroom. Its terrace overlooks the countryside and offers the chance to enjoy an aperitif in the golden light and a breakfast sung by the birds.
Speaking of breakfasts, aperitifs and cooking…
Julie and Thomas are working with Nomad Food by Gwendolina to offer their guests the chance to enjoy local, seasonal packed lunches, discreetly delivered direct to the hut. From breakfast to dinner, anything’s possible! And if guests are tempted by the idea of cooking for themselves, the hut has everything they need: a double cooking hob, fridge and small grocery shop (spices, oil, tea, coffee, etc.).
A responsible tiny house
The Cabane des Avelines is a “slow tourism” (or “slow travel”) project. It is powered by solar energy and heated by a pellet stove. Water consumption is limited thanks to the installation of dry toilets. Julie and Thomas also attach great importance to the products and supplies they buy as part of their B&B project (tea, coffee, honey): whenever possible, they choose local and responsible suppliers.
And that’s not all!
Julie and Thomas offer a camping area on their farm and allow guests to bring their horses! There’s room for everyone.
