Indrani Lodge originally consisted of two farmhouses. The owner lived in one building and offered bed and breakfast in the other. This initial bed and breakfast project was developed into a B&B by building a swimming pool and opening a restaurant. The purchase of a neighbouring farm allowed the project to grow, and a fully-fledged hotel came to life at Loupoigne in Walloon Brabant.

Like Kalani, the Indrani Lodge project is part of and committed to the issue of global warming by proposing sustainable and equitable solutions. Throughout its development, the services, infrastructure and activities offered by Indrani Lodge have been inspired by ecological technologies, with the aim of being as sustainable as possible, reducing the carbon footprint as much as possible, using as few resources as possible and even being self-sufficient.

This includes a one-hectare vegetable garden that supplies the kitchen and delights guests’ taste buds; two restaurants offering “reasoned” cuisine that makes sense, is healthy for the environment and for people, and changes with the seasons; a biomass system that heats local wood (or wood waste) as a source of heat for the hotel and even a few neighbouring houses; and solar panels that provide electricity.

In terms of look, the hotel strikes a balance between raw industrial style and the authentic style of the original farmhouse (a listed building). In terms of décor, Indrani Lodge is inspired by South African settings, with warm, understated natural colours and raw materials.

Staying at Indrani Lodge means treating yourself to a variety of moments of well-being for a timeless and complete experience. A yoga session followed by a massage, a relaxing moment in the barn pool, a ceramics class, a good night’s sleep…

Gourmets, to your taste buds! Treat yourself to one of the hotel’s two restaurants (gourmet or otherwise), savour local and seasonal products and enjoy the treasures of the hotel’s vegetable garden.
