Care Guide
Washing
- Air and shake your wool plaid regularly.
- Wash it cold, ideally by hand, once a year, or twice, depending on use.
- If your washing machine doesn’t have a special short wool program at 20° with a spin speed of 400 rpm maximum, you’ll need to wash it by hand.
- Wash your wool plaid by hand: fill a basin with lukewarm water (between 15°C and 20°C maximum), and add a small quantity of detergent specially adapted for wool. Avoid using fabric softener, which can damage wool fibers. Gently immerse your plaid, leaving it to soak for around 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Squeeze gently to remove excess water. These tips will help you preserve the softness and quality of your wool plaid over the long term.
- Always separate whites from colors, and sort your laundry according to the washing temperatures indicated on the labels.
- Don’t overload your machine!
- In the event of a stain, act quickly and follow the instructions on the product label. Use a mild stain remover or a mixture of lukewarm water and mild soap, and gently dab the stain before washing your wool plaid. Avoid vigorous rubbing as this may damage the wool fibers.
Drying
- Do not use a tumble dryer. Tumble dryers are forbidden!
- Dry your wool plaid in the open air, laying it flat (avoid hanging it up to prevent warping).
Ironing
We recommend that you do NOT iron your wool plaid.
